Viña Tarapacá Gran Reserva Organic Carmenère 2019
It’s no secret that there’s an overwhelming number of certifications for wineries to choose from. I give major props to @vinatarapaca for outlining their sustainability/commitments on their website.
I’d love more info to be available as to what these each mean, but there’s the beginnings of transparency here.

This aromatic and finessed Carménère is an excellent value with ripe blackberry, plum, and cherry aromas alongside violets and earth. This full-bodied wine, with velvety tannins and moderate acidity, offers similar flavours to the nose with the addition of subtle dried herbs and smoky cedar. Tasted December 2021.
