Sun Goddess Pinot Grigio Ramato 2019
Sun Goddess Pinot Grigio Ramato 2019 showcases a gorgeous soft pink colour, though ‘Ramato’ means ‘auburn’ or ‘copper’ - neither of which I’d call this wine. Nonetheless, it’s a beaut. Subtle aromas of cranberry and red currant with a whiff of children’s cherry medicine. On the palate, the acidity does its work, balancing a small amount of tannin and fruit-forward sweetness. Tasted July 2021.
Process: Short skin-contact maceration, followed by fermentation via natural yeast, then matured in steel tanks for 4 months.
