A winemaker's wine, with intent and precision from Ann Sperling. Sperling Vineyards Organic Chardonnay 2017 shows high-toned depth but with an edge of approachability. Medium-bodied, with notes of lemon curd, yellow apple, and mixed nuts. Well-integrated depth of flavours through a contemplative finish. Tasted October 2021.
Process: Select barrels were blended and bottled after 11 months of aging on lees. Batonnage was employed 6 times during barrel aging.
