Sperling Vineyards Vision Amber Pinot Gris 2020

Not a bottle I would typically grab, but I love the innovation and fearless (natural) winemaking needed to put a bottle like this out into the world. Sperling Vineyards Amber Pinot Gris 2020 is umami to the core. White peach, tangerine pith, orange blossom aromas fill the glass. The flavours are dry, with bitter fruit seeping through the corners of the mouth. Savoury tea leaves make an appearance, leading to a textured finish. Tasted August 2021.
