Nederburg The Winemakers Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Nederburg The Winemakers Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 has some nice appeal. A label update is needed, but the wine has some great qualities. Lots of toast and smoke on the nose, alongside black fruits, with blueberry and dark cherry leading the way. More berry notes show on the flavours, with gentle spicy notes and well-integrated oak sitting patiently on the back palate. Velvety tannins and a decent finish. Tasted June 2021.
Process: Aged in oak for a 10 to 12 months. First-, second-, third-, and fourth-fill were all used in various portions.
