Monte Creek Living Land Sparkling 2020
Subtle, this wine is not. Monte Creek Living Land Sparkling 2020 is a knock-your-socks-off aromatic bomb in part from the portion of La Crescent, a hardy grape developed for cold climates in 2002, sometimes used to enhance a wine’s aromatics. Estate-grown in Kamloops and combined with Frontenac Blanc, Monte Creek Sparkling is filled with ripe fruit aromas and flavours, including guava, papaya, and a layer of floral-incensed honey. A touch over off-dry but balanced with nice acidity and a fine leesy texture. The 2020 Sparkling is one of the first in the Living Land series, reflecting the winery’s commitment to quality, ongoing innovation, and sustainable practices. Tasted January 2022.
