Mission Hill Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Covert Farms Family Estate Rosé wine
Anyone familiar with the Okanagan Valley knows the distinct microclimates running throughout. The Reserve series from Mission Hill showcases the distinctiveness of these pockets. The fruit for Mission Hill Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2021 comes from the south, specifically the Black Sage Bench and Osoyoos East vineyards. On the nose, it highlights lime, passionfruit, and citrus leaf. The citrus notes mirror each other on the palate, with more herbaceousness. Pith and dried leaves reveal themselves through mouthwatering high acidity. It's bone-dry but with a hint of sweetness on the mid-palate, leading to a nicely rounded mid-length finish. Tasted June 2022.
Process: Unknown amount of time in a variety of vessels: 15% French oak barrels, 3% Foudre, 3% concrete egg, 79% stainless steel.
