M. Chapoutier Belleruche Côtes-du-Rhône 2019 is a solid (under $20) GSM blend - but without the M(Mourvèdre). Red fruits, like cherry and cranberry, fill the glass, along with notes of dirt, stone and a hint of anise. The wine is dry with a medium body. Composed and restrained. Thoughtfully composed with a nice balance of tannins and acidity. Taste May 2021.
Process: 6 months in concrete vats and stainless steel tanks.
