Hailing from the rain shadow of the Cascade Range, Lost Peak Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 holds its own as distinctly Washingtonian. Not too heady, but cheerfully expressive and boldly intriguing. A medley of dark fruit aromas - black cherry and plum - lead to inviting hints of capsicum, jalapeño, and baby powder. Medium-bodied with a firm structure, soft tannins, and a grounded, lengthy finish. Tasted March 2022.
