Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2018
This bottle is a prime example of 'buy two: drink one and save one'. Mainly comprising Cabernet Sauvignon, with 11% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec, this Sonoma Cab has so much to offer in the cellar, yet is jovial in its drinkability now. Ripe and rich dark berry aromas lead first in the glass, intermingling with chocolate, mocha, vanilla bean, and cedar. A medium body with soft tannins acts as the structure, while rich, juicy blackberry and cherry flavours play with enticing notes of black pepper and baking spices. A fun sip that also offers notes of refinement. Tasted July 2022.
Process: 100% French oak for 13 months; 35% new and 65% one-year-old barrels.
