CedarCreek Estate Meritage 2017
I often find myself wanting to pronounce it “mare-i-taj”. But stop! It’s more simple than that! A meritage is pronounced the same as heritage. See, easy peasy! This CedarCreek Estate Meritage 2017 was pretty tight at first but opened up beautifully. Aromas of black currant, blackberry jam and spice lead into flavours of ripe dark berries, integrated with rich, plush tannins. Robust, yet lifted, enduring a lengthy finish. Tasted January 2021.
Process: 18 months in French oak barrels.
