Cambria Julia’s Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018
I always feel a kindred spirit when drinking Cambria. Women-led and women-owned, Santa Barbara-based Cambria epitomizes family and is (certified) sustainability. Julia’s Vineyard is named after proprietor Julie Jackson. The Pinot Noir is their flagship, with a depth of fruit from the golden ripening of the Santa Maria Valley sunshine in 2018. Juicy cranberry and dark stewed cherry balance out savoury, earthy notes of flint and fresh potting soil. Silky tannins direct an evenly balanced palate toward a mellow finish. Tasted July 2022.
