Road 13 GSM 2019 delivers classic Rhône blend characteristics, with the majority comprising Okanagan Syrah (64%) that plays into the spicy backbone this wine proudly boasts. Red fruit aromas fill the glass with a hint of juju candy and cassis interplaying among the savoury black pepper and dark chocolate notes. A chocolatier's mould comes to mind on the palate, rich and decadent, yet strongly structured, tight, and complex. Lush and silky tannins deliver a robust mouthfeel through a lengthy, unwavering finish. Tasted March 2022.
Process: 18 months in French Oak “Hogshead” barrels (Grenache & Mourvèdre). 18 months in both French and American oak barriques (Syrah).
