Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
As an impressive component of Jordan's sustainability program, the winery's electrical use has been carbon neutral since 2014. Each year, the energy generated from its hillside solar panels is equivalent to saving nearly 62,000 gallons of gasoline or planting about 14,000 trees. Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley Cab 2017 is a standout bottle, elegant in stature with the opportunity to evolve further following another decade in the cellar. Blackberry and dark cherries on the nose are accented by a steely structure with a lacing of tobacco. Subtle oak adds a textured weight that balances a spice-speckled finish. Tasted March 2022.
Process: 100% French oak for 13 months; 45% new and 55% one-year-old barrels.
