CedarCreek Estate Cabernet France 2019
From supporting role to superstar, the CedarCreek Estate Cabernet France 2019 has been growing and blended on the estate for two decades, but only recently has it been made into a varietal expression. And might I say thank goodness! This wine is BIG on the nose, with a plethora of red fruit, cedar, campfire and anise brushing up against hints of cigar, chocolate and roasted hazelnut. Like, wow, remarkable and distinct aromas. The palate is nicely structured but slightly more subdued: grippy tannins, plush fruit character and high acidity. A lengthy finish but on the thin side. Tasted June 2022.
