Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2025 doesn’t exactly whisper “Marlborough” — it comes out of the gate with plenty of energy. The nose is all fresh citrus, crushed herbs and ripe tropical fruit, with a subtle green pepper note. On the palate, it’s juicy and seriously zippy, with acidity that makes your mouth water. Fruit from the Awatere and Wairau Valleys gives it a nice mix of greener, more savoury character and fuller tropical fruit, so it has more going on than just citrus and acidity. It’s a lively, refreshing style made for cold glasses. Tasted May 2026.
