Unsworth Vineyards Charme de l’Ile

Covert Farms Family Estate Rosé wine
Unsworth Vineyards’ Charme de l’Ile is a bright, easygoing expression of Vancouver Island, built around mostly Sauvignette and Pinot Gris with a touch of Pinot Noir and other cool-climate varieties. Made in the Charmat method, it leans into fresh fruit and lively texture rather than the autolytic complexity of traditional-method sparkling wine, showing aromas of crisp pear, white peach, lemon zest, and a hint of wildflower. The palate is dry and energetic, with brisk acidity giving the fruit plenty of lift and a fine, refreshing mousse carrying through to a clean finish. At 11.5% alcohol, it has the kind of light-footed character that makes it especially suited to casual sipping. Think of it as Vancouver Island’s answer to a bright, fruit-driven Prosecco — regional in character, unfussy in style, and very easy to reach for. Tasted July 2026.
