Quails’ Gate Pinot Noir 2023

Covert Farms Family Estate Rosé wine
Quails’ Gate Pinot Noir 2023 shows how nicely the variety can balance bright fruit with a savoury edge. It’s juicy and fresh, with raspberry, sour cherry and blackberry up front, followed by green herbs, black pepper and a touch of smoky oak. Medium-bodied with lively acidity and fine, supple tannins, it has plenty of energy without feeling lean, while a slightly earthy finish keeps things interesting. Nine months in new and older French oak adds a little seasoning. A light chill brings out the fresh fruit, making it especially easy to reach for right now. Tasted November 2025.
Process: Aged in new and old French oak barrels for 9 months.
