Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Covert Farms Family Estate Rosé wine
Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is a polished Rutherford expression that balances Napa richness with the estate’s long winemaking history. Deeply coloured and generous from the start, it layers black cherry and cassis with hints of vanilla and graphite, while a subtle herbal edge (thanks to 4% Cabernet Franc) adds definition rather than distraction. The palate is full-bodied but composed, with ripe, refined tannins giving the wine shape and a fresh line of acidity keeping the fruit focused through a long finish. Aged for 19 months in French oak, half new, the oak is well integrated, adding texture and warmth without overwhelming the vineyard character. With roots reaching back to Inglenook’s celebrated 1941 Cabernet, this is a wine that feels connected to the estate’s past without trying to recreate it. Give it time in the glass — or a good decant — and pair it with a simply grilled steak, roast lamb, or earthy mushroom dishes. Taste April 2026.
Process: Aged 19 months in 100% French Oak (50% New Oak).
