Blasted Church Blaufränkisch Rosé 2025

Covert Farms Family Estate Rosé wine
Blasted Church Blaufränkisch Rosé 2025 is dry, medium-bodied, and very easy to like, with ripe strawberry and watermelon on the nose followed by tart strawberry and sour cherry on the palate. The fruit feels juicy without veering sweet. There’s also a subtle savoury edge that gives it a little more personality than your average patio rosé. Made entirely from estate-grown Blaufränkisch on the Skaha Bench, half the fruit saw three hours of skin contact for extra texture and aromatics, while six months in neutral French oak helped build some mid-palate weight. Refreshing enough for a sunny afternoon, but substantial enough to pour with grilled salmon, chicken, or a big bowl of pasta. Tasted July 2026.
Process: 6 months in neutral French oak barrels for fermentation and aging . After 6 months, the wine was racked to stainless steel tank, where it rested for a month to restore the tension to the wine before bottling.
