Meet Nicole
Nicole MacKay (she/her) has two decades of experience in the wine industry, spanning marketing and sales, import, and journalism. Over the years, she has written hundreds of articles for local and international publications, plus countless brand emails. She has been the managing editor of SOMM TV Magazine for the last three years, focusing on wine, food, and travel content for wine enthusiasts across the globe.
Throughout her career, Nicole has interviewed winemaking icons such as Paul Hobbs and Steve Matthiasson, plus The Wine Bible author Karen MacNeil. She has also had the privilege of travelling the world on assignment. Highlights include surfing off the coast in Chile before touring vineyards on horseback, walking the Champagne caves at Pol Roger, and picnicking among the vines in the Okanagan.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, she’s a Spanish Wine Scholar through the Wine Scholar Guild and holds her level 3 from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
